What do you do at Become? I manage our Support and Engagement Team, who deliver our support services for children in care and young care leavers. I lead on the design and delivery of our life coaching programme, care advice service, training and workshop provision.
Can you say a bit about your past experience and qualifications? I worked for over a decade in further education; as a programme manager, teacher and personal tutor, supporting 16-19-year-olds to reach their goals. I later ran a training and life coaching business and started a dance charity for disadvantaged groups. I’m passionate about helping young people to thrive.
What do you like about working at Become? We’re all so committed to helping children and young people. We believe in them and work hard to do our best for them.
What drives you? Kindness and love – everyone needs this!
What do you enjoy doing when you are not working? Dancing! It’s a great release from everyday stresses and a fantastic way to make new friends and meet wonderful people from all over the world. I love all kinds of dance, music and culture; from salsa, to kizomba and hip-hop.
